A board starts with requirements
We define device functions, power, connections, dimensions and operating conditions. Firmware and system integration inform hardware decisions from the start.
What the work covers
01
Schematics, placement and routing
We select components, develop schematics and route the board, considering power paths, connector placement and debugging access.
02
Ready for the next stage
We agree on the deliverables before work begins. They can include schematics, PCB project files, a bill of materials and manufacturing files. A prototype helps validate key decisions before the next revision.
03
Interfaces & requirements
Agree on connections, constraints and expected system behavior.
From requirements to working hardware
PCB development starts with electrical and mechanical constraints: signals to measure, outputs to control, available connectors and enclosure dimensions. For an upgrade, existing schematics, installation photographs and known problems provide a useful starting point. For a new product, we define functional blocks and agree how the prototype will be assessed.
Schematics, layout and manufacturing preparation
We plan power, input protection, component placement and service access. Routing considers return-current paths, sensitive analogue circuits and interference sources. Deliverables are agreed before work starts: project files, a bill of materials, Gerber data, drilling and assembly information can form part of the manufacturing package.
Prototype and further development
The first sample is assessed with actual peripherals and firmware: startup, consumption, communication, power interruptions and extended operation. This provides a basis for another revision, a pilot batch or product integration. A project may cover a new board, adaptation of existing electronics or a dedicated interface module.
Before we begin
Can we start from an existing board or system?
Yes. Send a description, available schematics, files and photos. We first determine what can be retained and what needs to change.
How are cost and timing defined?
After discussing the problem, constraints and expected outcome. Scope and milestones are agreed for the individual project.
What do you need for an initial discussion?
A brief description, the existing equipment and essential functions. If you already have a specification, attach it to your email.
